my definition of an epic poem

An Epic poem is a work that has two main characteristics:

- First of all, it is presented and/or written in a specific and important part of the history, therefore, this epic poem must be a landmark between a before and an after for a group of people.
- Secondly, it must present a conflict (not necessarily a resolution) and a heroic figure that shown a characteristic or a virtue that most to be followed.

As we can see it in Beowulf, The Gilgamesh, The Odyssey and in Frank Miller’s 300
